ROCKSTARS IN PJS

This is a collaborative project developed with Cassidy Bean that explores the stage costumes of the ’70s rock stars, mainly Mick Jagger and David Bowie, with mid-century male sleepwear. The collection investigates the 1930s to the 1950s, smoking coats and sleepwear, as well as the tight, low-cut bodices and flamboyant stage costumes of these iconic figures. We also used sublimation printing to develop custom stripes, which were later laser-cut to create our fringe details, mimicking the movement of ’70s performers while keeping the vintage pajama silhouette. Therefore, exploring a fluid vocabulary by merging loungewear and rock and roll essence into a masculine elegance.
